Children's Ministry

children

Have you got children that you would like to bring to church? We run a specific programme just for kids!

Our aim is to make sure every child can be themselves in a safe and welcoming environment and know that Jesus welcomes them just as He does adults!

We want the kids to have great fun whilst learning more about Jesus and meeting with Him.

At the moment we run a Baby and Toddler Group called Munchkins,  a Creche and Children's Church during the main Sunday afternoon service, LifePoint Kids on a Sunday morning for Primary School aged kids, GLOW a group for girls aged around 8 -12 on Monday evenings at various venues around Rooksdown (see church calendar for dates) and Messy Church on the last Sunday of each month. Please see below for more details on these groups!

We hold this on a Thursday morning during term time at the Sea Cadet and Community Centre in Winklebury (Sycamore Way, RG23 8AB).  A nice big hall, plenty of toys and equipment, a craft table, puzzles, books, song-time, drink and snack time for the children and as much tea, coffee, hot chocolate that you can manage all help to ensure a good time is had by all!  Sessions cost £2.00 per family and run from 10am - 11:30am during term time.  Pop along and see us - we would love to welcome you!

During the service on a Sunday afternoon all children between the ages of 0 - 12 have their own programme.  Younger children (0-5) go out to creche after the first song, and the 6-11s go out to Children's Church after Communion. All our children's workers are DBS checked and believe in the importance of teaching the Bible in a fun and interactive way that the children enjoy and learn from.

Each Sunday morning (except Messy Church Sundays) we welcome all Primary School aged kids to our fast-paced, fun, energetic and interactive LifePoint Kids Group. This takes place at Castle Hill Primary School (Rooksdown Campus) at 10am - 11:15am. Parents are invited to drop their children off with us and we guarantee they will be well cared for, entertained, exercised, taught, and generally engaged in a whole lot of fun!  During the sessions the children will learn about Jesus and what it means to be one of his followers through games, activities, crafts, songs, challenges, dramas and Bible stories.

GLOW

This is our group for girls be
tween the ages of 8-12. It stands for Girls Light Our World - and that is just what we want to teach and encourage! Jesus tells us to go and be a light to the world and we believe this is important right from an early age.

So, we get together, we encourage each other, learn together, and work out ways to impact our families, our friendships, our neighbours, our world. Full of energy and enthusiasm there's never a dull moment at GLOW!  It runs once a month on a Monday evening at various venues around Rooksdown.

Contact Jo on 07733942873 for more infomation or check the church calendar to see when it is on.

The last Sunday of each month is our Messy Church day! 4pm - 6pm at Castle Hill Primary School (Rooksdown Campus).  Activities, crafts, songs, story and a tea so you wont go home hungry. This is a 'church' for all the family and is a very popular service at LifePoint and in the community. It's great to see families coming together to explore God in messy and exciting ways. No need to book - just turn up and sign yourselves in. Please let us know if you have any dietry requirements and we will do our best to accomodate this.

Pop along and see what it's all about!
